Kent Test (11+) Overview
Test Format: The Kent Test consists of:
  • English & Maths (1 hour)
  • Reasoning (1 hour) - Verbal and Non-Verbal
  • Writing Exercise (40 minutes) - Not marked but may be used in appeals
Registration: Opens in June and closes in July for the following September entry
Test Date: Usually held in early September of Year 6

Admission Criteria

Qualifying Scores

To be considered for a grammar school place, children usually need to achieve:

  • A total score of 320 or more
  • A score of 106 or more in each test

Appeals Process
